Live Incubator 2027: Artist information
Live Incubator brings together a new generation of the European music industry with the goal to ideate, develop and fundraise international projects within the live music sector.
Solo artists aged 18-30 from Austria, Denmark and Norway can submit the form below to express interest in joining the project. Live Incubator 2027 is funded by Erasmus+ Youth, which is why it’s open to artists under 30.
About the project
3 solo artists, 3 emerging professionals and 3 lead professionals will work together on solving some of the most pressing challenges facing the Nordic and European live sector. The programme runs across:
– 4 online workshop sessions
– 3 in-person camps (Norway, Denmark, Austria)
– Additional online meetings and coaching throughout, to help each project team develop their work
Who we’re looking for
We have space for 3 emerging solo artists who want to work behind the scenes on projects that improve the music industry. We’ll select 1 act per participating country.
The following artists can apply:
Solo acts (or acts that regularly perform solo).
18-30 years old (during the full programme from January-November)
Living in Denmark, Norway or Austria.
Genres: The only exceptions are classical music and traditional/conventional jazz, as these fall outside the programming of the participating festivals.
Selection is based on:
Motivation for developing projects.
Vision for the future of the music industry.
Interest in building further collaborations across the European live sector with like-minded, ambitious professionals.
We’re looking for artists at an emerging stage in their career: already achieving some recognition or accomplishments in their home country, and ready to take their first steps into the international/European market.

In between on- and offline meetings you’ll schedule online meetings with your project group to work on your project.
What’s included
– Travel and accommodation covered for the 3 camps.
– Food and drinks provided during workshop days
– Conference tickets to the 3 festivals.
– All 3 selected artists will showcase at the 3 partner showcase festivals: Trondheim Calling, SPOT Festival and Waves Vienna
– Basic backline provided.
